This months race at grangemounth was yet another great night of racing for the juniors,and let me say how grateful the juniors and parents are that the club supports them with the hire of the mini-bus .Its all about the continuing development of our juniors in these races,
Aidan Feeney our under 17 won the 100m with a new P.B that set the night for great runs by all,Ross Trearty ran the 1500m with a new P.B he led for two laps but had to settle for 9 th position after throwing his glasses away during the race( we found them after)We had Lauglann Henderson run a great 400m his first out door race,Then we had 3rds from Alex Campbell and Tanmzin Smith again new P.Bs in their 150m race,and a big well done to Priyanka Sharma on her first run for the club in the 100 m watch out for her.. It was a wet rainy night,but we are used to that at Maryhill.
Best overall race performance I would have to give to Lauglin,and best sprint start goes to Tamzin. I would also like to thank the parents for there support at the race.And a stop off at McDonald’s made for a great night Next Race at Grangemounth is the 3rd Aug.Cant wait.
