Xmas Handicap

Although a little windy, this years Christmas 5K handicap took place in the mildest conditions most of us could remember with it being a balmy 15 degrees Celsius in Maryhill. There was a bumper turnout of 16 runners who all completed 2 laps of the usual undulating Acre Road, Maryhill Road and Caldercuilt Road course. Special mention must go to Gianluca who travelled all the way from Italy to run in the race and who set the fastest time of the day (18.42). It was also nice to see Natalie back racing with the club. The race was won in stunning style by Catriona who, after having some time out from running is roaring back to form. Taking over two minutes off her park run time from last week she finished in 25.33 and is this years 5K Christmas handicap champion.
