Myself and Chris ventured over to Pollok Park for my second park run this month. It was an ideal running day dry sunny and mild (although too hot for a menopausal woman).
After my DISASTROUS 10K last week I needed to get some of my confidence back and was hoping to get a sub 24min 5k. Chris decided that we should run together and that was the plan until the gun went off. I stayed behind Chris for about a kilometre then over took him and was leading the whole way. Chris remained around 20 metres behind until the final descent then I knew I was going to get caught. Chris ran with me and pushed me the final wee bit (he could have run on) and we finished together in a time of 24mins THANKS DARLING!
The winner was Max Lancaster of Giffnock North in a time of 17.20.
First female was Susanne McMahon Belahouston Harriers in a time of 20.32.
I was 126th (9th female) and Chris 127th out of a field of 335 runners.
