Pollok Parkrun

Chris, Davie and John turned out for this last event of 2011.Davie and I turned up just 10 mins before the start which didn’t allow for a proper warm up or give Davie a look at the course as it was his first time. We met John just at the off, he had cycled over from Knightswood. There was a great turnout of 278 and the run started well with first John then Davie taking off into the distance followed by me.

John finished first of the trio slightly slower than usual citing the enormous puddles (which probably flowed down off the enormous hills) for knocking a few seconds off his time, Davie was reasonably happy with his first attempt at this course, but I ran a PW, having given blood on Friday afternoon, I felt totally drained after the first mile. But we all enjoyed the run and will be back again soon.
