Polaroid Helensburgh 10k

Three Harriers, Gordon, Craig and Chris, made the trip to Helensburgh for the annual 10k road race hosted by Polaroid Eyewear. It was a dismal cold and wet evening but that didn’t stop 856 hardy souls from braving the elements.
Gordon had declared early on that he was here for a training run and agreed to try and pace Craig round for a sub 40 min PB. I was also feeling confident and looking for a good run. We weren’t disappointed as both Craig and I registered PB’s and Gordon easily cruised round in under 40 mins.

The cold wet conditions turned out to be perfect racing weather and the course was a mainly flat out and back, which I for one thoroughly enjoyed, and so did Craig as he was apparently smiling and chatting all the way round. We were supported on the night by Caroline and Mick who also provided transport for the journey.
Craig White –91st—    39m 50s PB
Gordon Curran—92nd— 39m 52s
Chris Hever—365th— 46m 44s PB
