Newtonmore 10k

This was a locally organised race to raise funds for a local mother’s and toddlers group. A small group of runners who’d run the Meall a Bhuachille and some local runners participated. There was also a fun run so people were dressed up in Halloween outfits and some were on horses so I could’ve taken Nell. The route was mainly on the road and climbed up behind Newtonmore towards a most fantastic looking glen, and then we went off road along a land rover track, around a field and back. The treat en-route for the hill runners was a splash through a decent stream across the track. I can’t recall much more of the detail except to say there were amazing cakes, scones and tea served at the pub afterwards.

My time was 45+mins, think the actual distance was 9.2km.
