Kirkintilloch 12.5k

The 10th Kirkintilloch 12.5K race was run on Sunday the 15th February
2015, with around 267 runners completing the challenging course.

After the recent cold weather, we couldn’t have asked for better conditions
for a race. I’m not going as well as this time last year, so wasn’t
expecting to beat my PB for this one, but I went off hard anyway in
search of a much needed 30 merit league points! The pace and terrain had
caught me out by about 10k, when I was struggling a bit and keeping one
eye on the look out behind me for Andy getting over the hills quicker
than me! I recovered a bit for a fast finish down the hill and back to
the school to complete the distance in just over 51 minutes.

6 Harriers completed the race, which was won by Cambuslang’s Robert
Gilroy in a time of 41:08.

34th: Craig White – 51:03
41st: Andy Sutherland – 51:58
98th: Scott Coulter – 57:17
109th: Natalie Somerville – 58:35
165th: Chris Hever – 63:45
256th: Fletcher Murdoch – 79:16
