Garscube Gallop

Muddy paths, fallen trees, jaggy nettles and bleeding knees. That pretty much sums up the Garscube Gallop which took place on Thursday, 4th August in Dawsholm Park. There was a slight change to the challenging 5k course that I remember running a couple of years ago, with the third and last climb being particularly longer and more arduous than before. It was quite enjoyable though, as the terrain demands that you concentrate on the winding paths and uneven underfoot conditions.

Big mention to Ladies Captain Caroline Jones for her excellent 3rd place in the ladies category.

1st Male – David Gardner – Kirkintilloch Olympians – 18:59
1st Lady – Katie White – Garscube Harriers – 21:08

Maryhill…

30th – Stephen Jones – 22:32
35th – Caroline Jones – 23:22 (3rd Lady)
