Cort-Ma Law Hill Race

On Wednesday night I had my 4th run at Cort ma Law hill race. The race starts at the car park which is half way over the Crow Rd to Fintry, and follows a P shaped loop over the hills and bog for 6 miles and 1700ft of climbing. Given the recent dry weather the course was really dry with only a few exceptionally deep soft spots to come a cropper in, thankfully I managed to avoid them all. The glorious evening sunshine meant the last 10 minutes of the race, where you are running fast down hill was into the setting sun, so I found it difficult to see where I was going at times, but rather this than driving rain.

Andrew Fallas, Carnethy, won the race in 47:45
Catriona Buchanan, Ochil, was first female in 57:28

Duncan Riddell, Maryhill, 1:04:12 was 37th

82 runners completed the race.
