Sarah and my good self drove to the Crow Rd car park for the start of the Cort ma Law Hill race over looking Lennoxtown. Weather was a bit dull and rain threatened for most of the race. The course involves a particular boggy section between Cort ma Law and Lecket Hill. I was following Stephen Cowper across this dodging the really bad bits and decided that I could have a go passing him. So I took a more direct route at one point, bad move, ended up thigh deep in bog. Once I had extracted myself I continued with the pursuit, catching him back up fairly quickly. He took a watery fall later in the race, but this did not stop him beating me on the final run home. Sarah apparently had a similar bog moment, sinking up to the under garment line in the swamp and being pulled to safety by fellow runners. Any way enough of the tales of swamp.
The race was won by Kenny Richmond, Bellahouston RR in a time of 49:53.
First lady was Julia Connor, Moorfoot in 1:04:42
I finished 23rd in 1:02:46 and Sarah was 70th in 1:18:55
