Pollok Parkrun

On Saturday I accompanied Mick on his debut to the Pollok Parkrun. The conditions were perfect, and after a customary long warm up and strides and a trip into the woods where the Grizzly’s go, we lined up with 258 other souls and set off. Mick had an easy run and maybe gave too much respect to the “hilly” course before competing in a sprint finish to end up 11th overall and 1st MV55. I too ran a little conservatively and after scaling the Northwest face of the “John Weir Ridge” for the second time I got into gear and had my own sprint race down the final stretch. We both enjoyed the early morning workout and should be back again soon.
