Pollok Parkrun

Descending on Pollok Park for the 134th Glasgow Parkrun, Maryhill’s own superheroes – Captain Curran and his trusty sidekick, the tip-toeing Ginger Ninja – were curious to see what their legs had remaining in them after recent exertions. John had ran the Helensburgh Half Marathon only 6 days before, and I was embarking on this to gauge further what improvements I could make on my 5K time – particularly for this course.

There was a total of 308 runners on the day, with the fastest gent being Jethro Lennox of Shettleston finishing in 16:04. First lady home was Louise Warren of Victoria Park AC in a time of 19:18.

Maryhill Harriers….

24th – Gordon Curran – 19:01 (New PB for this course)

38th – John Weir – 19:59 (2nd VM50-54)
