Tinto Hill race was on Saturday 7th November 2009 and I represented the club at the race, distance is 4.4 miles and the climb is 1500ft.
Weather conditions were good, dry, no wind and only the very top of the hill was I in the clouds during the race. There is a good path all the way along the route made up of either grass or loose gravel, both surfaces were quite slippy due to the heavy rain this week. The route is more or less 2.2 miles of up followed by 2.2 miles of down no really flat bits to speak of.
A record number entered the race, 293, with the race being won by Prasad Prasad of Clydesdale in 31:28. Claire Gordon of HBT won the ladies race in a time of 39:10
I finished 117th in a time of 43:42.
