Balloch to Clydebank HM

Six Harriers took part in the annual Balloch to Clydebank half marathon on the 14th of April. The weather was wet and windy, but thankfully the wind wasn’t too bad on most of the route, which starts at Loch Lomond Shores in Balloch and finishes near the Play Drome in Clydebank. The course is mostly flat, with only a couple of climbs immediately before and after Bowling to worry the runners, making this a good race for a fast time. This race was the inaugural Maryhill Harriers half marathon championship; the titles being claimed by Gianluca and Catriona. Congratulations to both! Thanks to the support and marshalling of Fletcher, John, Caroline and Gordon in the past couple of miles keeping us from slacking off when it was getting tough.

  • Gianluca Carelli – 1:24:02 (PB)
  • Craig White – 1:26:39 (PB)
  • Andrew Sutherland – 1:27:16
  • Catriona Nisbet – 1:45:50
  • Chris Hever – 1:47:37
  • Margaret Peebles – 2:13:13
