This Sunday was the annual Men’s Health 10K at Bellahouston Park. After a bit of struggle with sponsorship and other issues, the organisers managed to get the race on as usual. The weather was pretty much perfect for running a fast time with cool, slightly damp conditions at the start of the race, although a little humid for the last 2-3K. Despite this being a mass event (2734 runners this year), it’s always really well organised (with a decent goody bag and great support) and the usual fast course through Bellahouston and Pollock parks is always really enjoyable on a Sunday morning.
This year’s race was won by Robert Gilroy in a time of 32.27. Due to a pretty busy race schedule, the mighty blues were only represented by Andy Sutherland this year, who finished in 27th with a new PB of 36.35 (11th M40+).
