Horrible weather and a tough course faced 11 brave harriers for the annual Christmas Handicap Race.
It was November, it was baltic and it was wet. Three Harriers ventured over the river to Bellahouston Park to race the Jimmy Irvine 10k organised by Bellahouston Road Runners.
Balloch Castle Country Park was the venue for round three of the Merit League with both Rory and Lynsey taking maximum points for the third race in a row.
Round two of the 2018/19 merit league took place at the DAAA Cross Country Relays with another good turnout for Maryhill and another top performance from Rory.
An outstanding result for Maryhill as we fielded two male teams and one female team. Great conditions saw some inspired running at the first merit league race of the season.
Five Harriers headed out for the Neil McCover half marathon, with Andy leading the charge followed by Scott, James and Chris who completed the George Cummings Relays the day before. Injury was bad news for Mick.
