Augusts third Grangemouth race was to turn out to be one of the best performances from our juniors to date, with all but one getting new P.Bs .It was a damp but cool night with a light wind in the stadium, Hannah Prior our youngest junior set the bar high with a great 200 m run with a full sec off her best time and a second place to go with it, Zara Bateman also took a full sec off her 200 m time but she prefers 100 m, outstanding runs came from Alex Campbell, after a lot of hard work and dedication he got the 200 m time he was looking for of 26 sec,and Tamzin Smith who I would call a natural 200 m runner got a full sec off her best as well as winning her race, but I know and she knows there is a lot better to come from Tamzin, as there is no one more dedicated to running than her, watch this space, Kelly Tang came of age with her run and new P.B, Kelly has come a long way with hard work to shape herself into a great sprinter, but more to come from her. And what can I say about Ross Trearty he ran his 800 m like a true professional leading from the front to win and taking a full 6 secs off his best time well done Ross. Rachel Smith ran even though she was just back from holiday, Rachel has a very special running talent still to be seen. A big thanks to Stephanie Knight our up and coming Coach who overseen their warm ups with support from Gillian Quinn. Two did not run due to ill health, and the mini bus was great despite a small break down coming home, we got there in the end, and I’m sure all the staff at the McDonalds in Falkirk know all our names by now. Good luck to Tamzin, Kelly, and Alex who will be doing the open Champs on the 14th Aug Well done to all.
